Expectations

Please review these expectations for CareLearn users and let us know if you have any questions by contacting carelearnsupport@dshs.wa.gov.

·       CareLearn includes training content created by DSHS and other organizations. Some training may include images or topics that may be upsetting.

·       CareLearn training content and materials do not replace any laws or rules in RCW, WAC, or Department policy.

·       You may only print or save your certificates and transcripts, and informational resources (ex. handouts). Do not copy, save, or share any copyrighted training content.

·       You are responsible for managing your own continuing education (CE) credits.

·       Not all courses in CareLearn are approved for CE credit.

·       Keep your account information correct and up to date.

·       Your employer or others connected to your work setting may be allowed to access your account information, if approved by the CareLearn Team.

·       DSHS staff manage CareLearn Washington and may email you about your CareLearn account and use.

·       DSHS will not share your CareLearn account information with outside groups, other than Moodle (CareLearn’s system provider), and as required by law.

·       If you are an unpaid family or friend caregiver, please explore other free resources like the WA Family Caregiver Learning Portal provided by Community Living Connections. These resources may be a better fit for you since you’re not required to complete continuing education credits.

·       You’re expected to be respectful in CareLearn social spaces. Do not share protected health information. The CareLearn Team may remove content they find inappropriate.
